My career has been an exciting journey that has led me to a variety of different learning and professional venues: teaching junior high and college level students, training and coordinating volunteers in pastoral environments, working in the corporate world (profit and not-for-profit) in human resources and organizational development, negotiating labor contracts, and helping managers move toward their success through professional coaching. These educational and professional experiences have given me a deep respect for and understanding of individual and organizational issues. I am committed to working with leaders in helping them create organizational environments that are built on principle-centered accountability and learning. My guiding belief is that organizations are a community of individuals whose skills, attitudes, and ability to be in relationships influence organizational productivity and effectiveness. My professional goal is to help an organization create a learning culture where employees are challenged, are able to significantly contribute to their organization’s goals, and experience a deep level of satisfaction for their personal contribution. Throughout my Human Resources career, I have been considered a catalyst for change. I played an instrumental role in several organizational restructuring and redevelopment efforts. Recently, I helped an organization develop its own Corporate University in response to the organization’s need for skill training, leadership development, and succession planning. I earned my BA Degree from the College of Notre Dame in Maryland and my MS degree in Human Resources Development from Towson University. In addition, I am certified in Coaching, Labor Relations- Collective Bargaining, and Human Resources. I serve on the boards of Pastoral Counseling and Care Ministries of Maryland and the Chesapeake Human Resources Foundation, and active in the latter’s high school program, “Pathways to Success.” I bring to my consulting, teaching, and coaching skills the qualities of integrity, compassion, creativity, and sense of humor. |
